While any time of year is a good time to visit North Beach Plantation in North Myrtle Beach, activity planning can be especially important in the winter months, when you can’t always depend on the weather and the beach to cooperate with outdoor plans. If the weather is looking a little gloomy during your stay (or even if it isn’t!), you might want to check out one of Myrtle Beach’s newest attractions – The Track Family Recreation Center, where you can find indoor and outdoor fun for the whole family.

As its name suggests, one of The Track’s star features is its go-karts. These go-karts are exclusively electric, which means quieter engines and no headache-inducing fumes to cast a pall over the fun.

The Track boasts two outdoor go-kart courses with a cool, multi-level design to add an extra dimension to the fun. A signature of The Track, the Wild Woody is a unique and thrilling racing experience in which drivers circle upward over three stories and then back down. The Mighty Myrtle, a course designed specifically for this new location, features an elevated track that gives you plenty of twists and turns to navigate.

Racers can ride single or double in the karts, and rookie and kiddie karts are available. There is also a kiddie course designed just for younger drivers, so your kids can experience the fun of driving their own karts instead of having to always ride with Mom and Dad. Go-kart rides are purchased gift-card style with points that never expire, so if you don’t use all your purchased points in one visit, you can keep them for the next time you come!

Go-karts aren’t the only attraction at The Track – there is also a giant, air-conditioned indoor arcade with approximately 75 different games to entertain players of all ages and experience levels. Features include classics like skee-ball and air hockey, wild action games like Aliens: Armageddon and Transformers, and games to appeal to the younger kids, including Crossy Road and Fishbowl Frenzy. There is also a wide selection of games like Tower of Tickets and BarBerCut in which players can win prize tickets – and where there are prize tickets, there must also be a prize center where the tickets can be redeemed! Players at The Track can exchange their tickets for everything from candy and toys to games and electronics.

The Track Family Recreation Center is located in Restaurant Row, just a few miles south of North Beach Plantation. The attraction is open year-round, and it offers ongoing specials – so be sure to check out the website at myrtlebeachtrack.com and plan a visit to this brand-new Myrtle Beach attraction.
