Planning Your Wedding at North Beach Plantation: So many choices!
If you’re planning a destination wedding in Myrtle Beach, put North Beach Plantation on your short list. It’s one gorgeous location for a wedding, and the North Myrtle Beach resort has so many options you and your guests, you won’t have to leave the resort at all.
“We have so much space here and so many ways to entertain, they can literally do a week long event here and never have to get in a car,” said John Mungavin, Event Sales & Property Manager at North Beach Plantation.
Here are just a few wedding-related events that can be accommodated at North Beach Plantation:
“Depending on the size, we have several options. You could have it on the pool deck, which is nice during the right time of year. And for a group of 20-50, you can do a private dining room in our restaurant, 21 Main at North Beach,” Mungavin said.
21 Main is a fine dining steakhouse and sushi bar restaurant on the North Beach property that serves some of the best food on the Grand Strand, from perfectly aged steaks to the freshest seafood available.
Reception and parties
“For a reception, many of our guests pick one of our two ballrooms in the Plantation House, and there’s also a connected outdoor area that’s perfect for cocktail hour. Between the ballrooms and the outdoor area, and the built-in dance floor, you can have up to about 350 people,” Mungavin said. “It’s not like a convention hall, it’s gorgeous and really designed for weddings.”
North Beach Plantation can serve anything from sit-down, restaurant dinners with made-to-order meals (rather than the bland buffets we’ve all been subjected to at too many weddings) to poolside luaus to sophisticated wine and cheese parties or welcome parties with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails.
“There’s also BLU at North Beach, which is on the 14th floor between the two towers. BLU is more of a modern, chic lounge feeling with these really phenomenal, panoramic ocean views, and that can accommodate around 200 people or so,” Mungavin said.
In addition to the ballrooms, the courtyard, and BLU, North Beach Plantation has an outdoor gazebo that’s great for more intimate weddings. “And of course, because we’re in North Myrtle Beach, you can also get married right on the beach,” Mungavin said.
One option that many brides love is the option to have a bachelorette party at the on-site spa, Cinzia. “In the evening hours they may take over the spa with as many as 12 women and they really enjoy themselves,” Mungavin said.
If the choices start to seem overwhelming, take comfort in the fact that North Beach Plantation will help take much of the stress off you by taking helping you with the planning.
“We do all the wedding planning here ourselves, you don’t need a wedding planner. We have a team that does it for you, and that’s included in the price,” Mungavin said.
“We are top-notch, and we’ll do everything. We can work with your budget, we’ll handle DJs, photographers, everything.”
