David Mason, who rose to fame as a member of the rock band Traffic, is bringing his Dave Mason Endangered Species tour to The Carolina Opry Theatre in Myrtle Beach.
With a career spanning several decades, Mason has collaborated with numerous notable pop and rock musicians, such as Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, and Fleetwood Mac, to name a few.
Traffic’s 1968 track “Feelin’ Alright” has been covered by various artists, including Joe Cocker. Mason’s solo U.S. hit “We Just Disagree,” released in 1977, still remains a favorite on classic hits and adult contemporary radio stations. In recognition of his significant contribution to the industry, Mason was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 as a founding member of Traffic. He also co-founded an electric guitar company with industrial designer Ravi Sawhney that same year.
