Staying at the North Beach Cottages is something quiet unique in your home away from home, so if you are really only staying for 24 hours, you might want to call in sick and stay a few extra days.

Think fast: You have 24 hours to do anything you want in Myrtle Beach. Dine where you want to dine, shop where you want to shop and spend as much time on the beach as possible to soak up every second.

For adventure types, it's a day of parasailing or a kayak tour. Others prefer a day of shopping, dining and a night out on the town. And for the easy-going, it's as simple as a relaxing day on the beach.

But for those who truly want to experience it all, we've taken the liberty of compiling a schedule that will allow you to pack a maximum amount of fun into a fleeting 24 hour period. Here's the game plan:

Where to stay? Hands down, North Beach Plantation Cottages, located right near Barefoot Landing in on the very southern tip of North Myrtle Beach, which offers top-notch accommodations and first-class amenities for all types of parties. Check-in time is 3 p.m. so we will start the clock there, but guests who want to take advantage of their vacation time can arrive early can do a “pre-check-in” to enjoy the on-site pools, water slides, lazy rivers, hot tubs and, of course, the beach, until your room is ready.

What to do first? Hey, you came a long way to spend some time by the ocean, so make the most of the daylight hours by playing on the beach and the on-site amenities at here at North Beach Cottages. Splash in the waves, feel the sand between your toes and play a game of catch with a football, baseball or Frisbee. As the sun starts to go down, take a dip in the pool or hot tub before getting ready for a night out on the town.

Where to go for dinner? Decisions, decisions. The Grand Strand is home to more than 1,700 restaurants, so narrowing them down can be tough. But for the most variety, head across the street to Barefoot Landing where more than 10 restaurants to choose from, like LuLu's, House of Blues, Taco Mundo, Greg Norman's, River City Cafe and so much more.

Where to go for after-dinner fun? For families, check out the Pavilion Nostalgia Amusement Park for rides and games, or other attractions at Broadway at the Beach, like Ripley's Aquarium, Broadway Grand Prix and WonderWorks. Families can also venture to the downtown district to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk to ride the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel, SkyScraper or the new Sky Rider Park hot-air balloon ride.

Where to go after hours? Head down juat about 5 miles to Broadway at the Beach that features more than a dozen nightclubs, including Oz, Crocodile Rock's, the Grumpy Monk and more. Guests can also make the short trip to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk to have a nightcap at the Tin Roof, Second Avenue Pier or The Bowery, a world-famous honky-tonk.

Where to go for breakfast? After a good night's sleep, it's time to rise and shine early to squeeze in more vacation fun. Guests can head straigh to Blueberry's Grill for a memorable breakfast experience and it is one of the local's favorite spots!

What to do on the way out of town? Take a final zip down the water slides or dry out in the sauna before you start to wind down your stay at North Beach Cottages. Before you end your stay and hit the highway, pick up a few souvenirs to remember your vacation at shopping districts like Barefoot Landing, The Market Common or Coastal Grand Mall. For the ultimate Myrtle Beach souvenir, stop by the legendary Gay Dolphin Gift Cove in the downtown district and pick up something that will help you remember your whirlwind visit.

But the main thing you need to carry home with you from your 24-hour stay is one small reminder: You need to set aside more time for your Myrtle Beach vacation. With more fun things to see and do than you can possibly pack into a vacation, you need more time to take it all in. Book your next (longer) vacation stay at North Beach Plantation today and we will give you an even longer list of great things to experience.
