Labor Day Weekend is almost here! It’s the last big weekend of the summer season, and there is no better way to bid summer farewell than by coming down to North Beach Plantation and enjoying the weekend festivities around Myrtle Beach.

One of the most popular events of the weekend is the 6th Annual Coastal Uncorked Food, Wine, Beer & Spirits Festival. This is a foodie event extraordinaire, a three-day extravaganza devoted to showing off the best of Myrtle Beach’s diverse culinary scene.

The festival kicks off on Friday evening with one of its newest additions, Chocolate Under the Moon. Sample rich chocolate confections and other decadent desserts and enjoy live music while you watch the featured event, a mixology contest where local bartenders compete to see who can mix the best moonshine cocktail. Samples are provided, and your votes determine the winner! Chocolate Under the Moon takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 2.

The tremendously popular Brews ‘N the Beach event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 3, from 4 to 7 p.m., and this year’s event will have the most varied offerings ever. As many as 20 local, regional and national breweries will be represented, with samples of more than 60 high-end craft beers and one-offs available. These samples will include unique brews and some of the hardest-to-find craft beers in the country, so if you’re a craft beer enthusiast, you won’t want to miss the chance to see what the participating breweries will be offering this year! The event will also include food provided by local vendors and a live show by Randy McQuay.

The festival wraps up on Sunday, Sept. 4, with the Grand Tasting Tent Event, which runs all afternoon from 1 to 5 p.m. Fifteen vineyards take part in the event, which offers over 100 different wines to taste. The ticket price also includes a deli plate of Boar’s Head meats and cheeses to complement the drinks, as well as a Coastal Uncorked souvenir wine glass to take home.

Tickets can be purchased for the individual events, or you can buy a three-day pass and indulge in the whole experience. Proceeds from the festival are used in part to support scholarships for tourism and culinary studies.

The festival will be held in the parking area behind Pavilion Park Central at Broadway at the Beach, a popular area attraction located only 20 minutes from North Beach Plantation. The Coastal Uncorked festival is the perfect end-of-summer event for your Labor Day Weekend!
