Labor Day weekend is coming up fast! It’s the last big weekend of the summer season, and now is the perfect time to make plans for all the holiday-weekend festivities around Myrtle Beach and book your stay at North Beach Plantation.

One of the most popular events of the weekend is the 7th Annual Coastal Uncorked Food, Wine & Spirits Festival. Coastal Uncorked is a three-day extravaganza that highlights the best of Myrtle Beach’s diverse culinary scene.

Back by popular demand, the festival opens on Friday evening with the return of Chocolate Under the Moon. Sample rich chocolate confections and other decadent desserts while enjoying live music and watching the night’s featured event, the Moonshine Mixology Competition that pits local bartenders against one another to see who can mix the best moonshine cocktail. Tastings are provided, and your votes determine the winner! Chocolate Under the Moon takes place on Friday, September 1, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The tremendously popular Brews ‘N the Beach event is back for its fourth year on Saturday, September 2, from 4 to 7 p.m. Guests receive a souvenir beer tasting glass as they enter, and they are free to sample any and all of more than 50 high-end craft beers from around the country. If you’re a craft beer enthusiast, you don’t want to miss the chance to see what the breweries will be offering this year! Musician and local favorite Paul Grimshaw will be performing live during the event.

The festival wraps up on Sunday, September 3, with the Grand Wine Tasting Event, which is held in the afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m. Guests can sample an enormous variety of wines from around the country, along with Boar’s Head hors d’oeuvres and cheeses to complement the drinks, as well as a Coastal Uncorked souvenir wine glass to take home. The event will also include live music performed by Myrtle Beach’s own Sweet Sweet!

The festival will be held in the parking area behind Pavilion Center at Broadway at the Beach, a popular area attraction located only 20 minutes from North Beach Plantation. Tickets can be purchased for the individual events for $25 each, or you can buy a three-day pass for $70 and indulge in the whole experience. Proceeds from the event are used in part to support scholarships for tourism and culinary studies.

The Coastal Uncorked Festival becomes more popular every year, and tickets do sell out — so don’t wait to get in on the hottest festival of the holiday weekend.
