It's safe to say that Dr. Chris Quinn has a true love affair with North Beach Plantation – in more ways than one.

Not only did he and his wife, Jenna, fall in love with the elegant North Myrtle Beach resort the first time they visited, they also subsequently held their wedding at North Beach, and recently returned to celebrate their first year together at their favorite place on the planet.

“I brought my then-girlfriend, Jenna, there for the first time and it was just perfect,” recalled Chris. “Just driving down the road and crossing the bridge that leads to the towers is so fantastic. You can tell you are arriving someplace special. We absolutely fell in love with it.”

Not just with North Beach Plantation, but also with one another. Something about staying in the tranquil atmosphere, enjoying the many on-site amenities and relaxing on the white-sand beach provided the perfect environment to pop the question and forge a more lasting relationship.

“I proposed to her on the beach and it was just the perfect setting,” Chris said of the secluded stretch of beach adjoining the resort. “We loved everything about it – the swim-up bar, the pools and the lazy river. We went shopping at Barefoot Landing and there are some great restaurants over there too, but we ate at 21 Main (on-site restaurant) and it was the best steak I ever had. Everything you need is right there and the customer service was outstanding.”

So there was no question about where the Quinns wanted to hold their dream wedding, except for the distance. Planning a wedding from 800 miles away can be a frightening venture, unless you have the North Beach Plantation team in your corner. The Quinns were able to put it all together in one weekend while also enjoying another trip to North Beach.

“We flew down one weekend in May (2013) and the staff had everything lined up for us. We met with them and a DJ, a cake maker and got everything done in one day,” Chris recalled. “Then we came back down in June for the wedding and everything was perfect. We got married on the beach and everyone was blown away by how beautiful it was.”

The Quinns continue to make more memories at North Beach Plantation, recently returning for a fall getaway. “This was our fourth time there in two years,” he said, “and it won't be our last.”.
