When Joseph Davis was a child, making trips to Myrtle Beach was a family tradition. Now that he is grown with a family of his own, Davis continues that ritual, along with his own twist – staying at Driftwood at the Boardwalk.

“I have been going to Myrtle Beach for over 20 years when I had a friend point me to the Driftwood,” said Davis. “Since then, I always book our room at this exceptional hotel. I love the Side View Deluxe suite that gives you a great view of both the ocean and the Boulevard.”

In addition to the excellent accommodations and amenities offered by the Driftwood, Davis loves the location. Convenient to all the attractions, shopping and restaurants he grew up visiting as a kid, the Driftwood is also near the many new developments that have sprung up over the year.

“My family and I love Myrtle Beach and we enjoy a lot of the attractions, like Broadway at the Beach which, is very easy to reach from the Driftwood,” Davis said. “We also enjoy all the action on the main strip of Myrtle Beach, including the great places to dine, such as Pier 14 and Peaches Corner, places I have ate at since I was a child.

“There are also a lot of great arcades to spend quality time with the kids, along with all kinds of great shopping spots and fun spots, like Ripley's Aquarium, the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel and ziplines, just to name a few of the great attractions that are all within walking distance from the resort.”

Just as important as the attractions, shopping and dining around the Driftwood are the accommodations and amenities on the property. Davis says he knows he can book his family's stay with full confidence that he has a great place to stay and play.

“While staying at the Driftwood, there has always been appropriate parking, an extremely friendly staff, and exceptionally clean rooms,” he said. “As a computer programmer, WiFi is very important to me, and even on the fifth floor I was able to get great signal.”

A great hotel room at an excellent rate and a close, convenient resort close to all the  action; it all adds up to a new family tradition for the Davis family at the Driftwood – one he plans to continue for years to come.

“We will for sure return,” Davis said. “My family and I have gone twice this year and we are planning one more trip before the year is over.”
