Myrtle Beach has lots of fun things to do for kids – water parks, thrill rides and go-cart tracks. And the older set has lots of theaters, shops and golf to choose from. But for young adults looking for a good time, you have to know where to go to find the nightlife.

Whether you want to dance the night away, go for a pub crawl along the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk or Broadway at the Beach, or find a little hideaway in Murrells Inlet or Pawleys Island, there are lots of fun things for young adults to do after the sun goes down. Here are the top 10 places for young adults to have good time out on the town:

Boathouse: Located on the banks of the Intracoastal Waterway, this happening hot spot offers free concerts that attract a younger crowd. From the Friday night country concerts to the Sunday afternoon outdoor shows, the Boathouse is a great place to have a good time on the waterfront.

Bubba's Love Shack: Located on the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk, this indoor/outdoor bar features live music on the waterfront. Have dinner at one of the surrounding seafood shacks and enjoy a frozen drink and fun night at Bubba's, a local legend who frequents his namesake bar.

Bumstead's Pub: Located in the heart of downtown, this English-style pub is the perfect place for a nightcap after the free fireworks shows and concerts on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. A young crowd calls this place home for live music, pool, darts and draft imports.

Celebrity Square: This Broadway at the Beach nightlife district is your one-stop hot spot for a big night out on the town. Dance clubs like Club Boca, Malibu's and Revolutions, live music venues such as Froggy Bottomz and Hard Rock Cafe, and sports bars like Broadway Louie's and Chuck & Ducks make up a vibrant nightlife scene.

Eighth Avenue Tiki Bar: Located on the oceanfront in downtown Myrtle Beach, this bar packs them in every night of the week. The outdoor patio deck is a popular gathering spot for folks strolling along the Boardwalk and for a solid group of regulars.

House of Blues: This is the place for live music on the Grand Strand. National touring acts play to packed houses at the main concert hall, and local and regional bands play free shows at the house bar, Crossroads. If you can't get tickets to the big show, you can enjoy it for free at the bar.

King Street Grille: Market Common is a popular spot for young adults, and this sports-themed bar is one of the top watering holes. Featuring indoor and outdoor seating, King Street brings in a fun and lively crowd, especially during football season.

Pawleys Island Tavern: If you find yourself on the south end of the Strand, search for this popular watering hole behind the hammock shops. An outdoor patio features a fire place and stage where top local bands play under the shade of live oak trees.

Pine Lakes Tavern: This gastropub is located just outside the gates of Pine Lakes International Country Club, the first golf course in Myrtle Beach. Great food, live music, a wide beer selection and a scenic back porch overlooking Pine Lake makes this a hot gathering spot.

Senor Frogs: This international chain serves as a Mexican restaurant for lunch and dinner, but transforms into a haven for nightlife after hours. The spring break crowd flocks to this place year-round, and the Caribbean-themed bar is also a favorite for locals.
