What’s Close to North Beach Plantation?

North Beach Plantation in North Myrtle Beach offers so many first-class amenities that there’s really no need to leave the property. But if you do decide to venture out, you don’t have to go very far to find great food, fun and attractions. Here’s a list of places to visit within walking distance of North Beach Plantation:

Dining: With the award-winning 21 Main located within North Beach Plantation, you really only need to take a brief walk to experience the best food in the neighborhood. But if you want to try something different one night, it’s only a short distance to Barefoot Landing and a full lineup of upscale eateries, such as Greg Norman’s Australian Grill and Joe’s Restaurant. For a more casual dining experience, check out the Flying Fish Grille, Wild Wing Café, Umberto’s and Joe’s Hamburgers, no relation to the other Joe’s. This casual burger joint is one of the most affordable and tasty places on the entire Grand Strand.

Shopping: Barefoot Landing features more than 100 stores within the same complex, allowing patrons to window shop while enjoying the scenery and atmosphere. Featuring a mix of national chain outlets and local mom-and-pops shops, you really can shop till you drop and still make it back to your cozy room in North Beach just a short stroll away. If you need to make a big shopping trip to stock up on items for the week, there’s a Wal-Mart a short drive to the south.

Nightlife: The: House of Blues is the ultimate place to party in the neighborhood, especially if a great band is playing the concert hall. But there's always live music on the Gator Bar deck. The Alabama Theatre features off-Broadway style entertainment, and places like Wild Wing Café and Bully's Pub also host live music as well as sports on TV and bar games.

Attractions: Some of your closest neighbors just happen to crawl on all fours at Alligator Adventure. Featuring more than 700 gators and crocs, as well as snakes, turtles, birds and lizards, this animal refuge is a great place to take the kids for an experience with nature. Guests also can take a ride tour down the Intracoastal Waterway aboard the Barefoot Princess.
